I have been consuming organic food for nearly ten years, and I can always tell the difference in taste between the ordinary ones and organic ones. It makes me feel sick thinking that I used to swallow chemicals down my throat, willingly.
From fruit to crisps, there is a startling difference. Organic oranges and starfruits are sweet and smooth; no hint of bitterness whatsoever. Cucumber and leafy green vegetables are simply delicious, not bitter. And the crisps made of organic potatoes have got the body, not ’empty’ like ordinary ones, makes them enjoyable to eat.
Organic flour is healthier, no bleach or pesticides. Have an organic cup of tea with some organic honey, milk, and biscuits, and I can assure you that these things will put a smile on your face. If you are consistent with the organic diet, you would not even give ordinary food a second glance.
It is tragic that we are used to the bitter taste of the ordinary pesticide-sprayed food, which is not the food should taste. Organic food is the food that people in the old days used to consume, with all the goodness to the body plus the real beautiful taste.
Instead of saving money for holidays or spending it on the things we do not need, why not use it to purchase organic food? Wouldn’t it be better to look at your cupboard and knowing you are putting good, beneficial things in your body? No chemicals or whatever scary things that they put in it?
Recently I read about a type of sweetcorn that uses a new type of pesticides. It is not sprayed to the plant, but it grows in it. Doesn’t sound tasty to me. I tasted ordinary sweetcorn and as you can guess, it tasted bitter. Bittercorn. Consume organic sweetcorn for a few days then taste the ordinary ones: and taste the difference!
By the way, have I told you about organic sweets? 😛
